Someday, some wonderful day, I am going to have a job that does not involve cleaning up other people's improperly done crap. I'm really liking it here, but I find myself doing exactly what I've been doing for the past six years: playing actuarial janitor.

Hate to disappoint you, but people are to inherently lazy for that kind of job to exist.
Hell, I work in a warehouse and I'm constantly cleaning up other peoples crap because they can't be bothered to do their jobs right. Inventory control is non-existant here because people just grab or move stuff without keeping track of it, and aside from a few people none of them care in the slightest. Since inventory accuracy affects our yearly bonus it means we're going to get screwed, but again it's to much effort for some people to do their jobs right. They know the few of us that do are going to bust our asses to correct their mistakes.
I wish there was a way to track it better so that the people who deserve it would get no bonus while the few of us who bust our asses get ours, but unfortunately it's an all or nothing deal. >:(

Man someone spilled these 4s all over the floor and just left them here. And the fridge has 2s that are growing stuff, any minute they are going to become 3s. And don't get me started on the 5 prints all over the walls.

Sorry, that's what actuarial janitor brought to mind. But I agree with tuna, not going to find such a job these days.
